About Our Carriers
What materials are Kova carriers made from?
Each Kova carrier is crafted from soft, breathable natural fabrics — gentle on delicate skin and supportive for long wear. Depending on the color, the carrier is made from either a cotton-linen blend or 100% cotton, both chosen for their strength, comfort, and beautiful texture.
Are your carriers safe for newborns?
Yes — Kova carriers are designed to be used from newborn up to two years (approximately 7 lb – 45 lb / 3.2 kg – 20 kg), supporting your baby’s natural posture at every stage. Each carrier provides full head, neck, and hip support, keeping your baby close and comfortable.
If your baby was born with a low birth weight (for example, premature, a twin, or with respiratory concerns), we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before babywearing to ensure the safest fit and position.
How much weight can the carrier support?
Kova carriers are tested to support up to 44 lbs (20 kg), making them suitable from the newborn stage through toddlerhood.
What positions can your carriers be worn in?
You can wear it in three ergonomic positions:
- Front Carry (facing in): from newborn stage for closeness and support.
- Front Carry (facing out): from around 5–6 months, once your baby has full head control.
- Back Carry: from about 12 months, offering comfort and freedom of movement for both of you.
Each position ensures proper hip alignment and balanced support for safe, comfortable babywearing.
How do I clean or care for my carrier?
We recommend spot cleaning as needed to preserve the fabric’s longevity. For deeper cleaning, hand wash or machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle using a garment bag to protect hardware. Spot clean with water only whenever possible. If you use a stain remover or detergent, rinse immediately — some products may cause bleaching or discolouration, especially on darker shades.
After washing, gently reshape the carrier and lay it flat or place it on a drying rack in a well-ventilated area. Allow all padding and fabric to dry completely before using again. To keep your carrier beautiful for years, minimize machine washes and spot clean whenever possible.
Orders, Shipping & Returns
How long does it take for my order to ship?
We process all orders within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). Once shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number by email so you can follow your package’s journey.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we offer worldwide shipping. Delivery times and rates vary depending on your location and will be calculated at checkout. Please note that international customers are responsible for any applicable customs fees or import duties.
How can I track my order?
As soon as your order ships, you’ll receive an email with a tracking link. You can use it anytime to view real-time updates on your delivery status.
What is your return or exchange policy?
You may return or exchange unused carriers within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original packaging, with tags attached and in new condition. To start a return or exchange, please reach out to us at support@kovababy.com — our team will assist you through the process.
What should I do if my carrier arrives damaged or incorrect?
We’re so sorry if your order isn’t perfect. Please contact us within 3 business days of delivery, including your order number and photos of the issue. We’ll review the case quickly and arrange a replacement or refund where applicable.
